Terry Lieberman - Director

Terry has been at Playschool since 1999. First as a parent, then as a teacher, and now as the Director. Having 2 of her 4 children go through Playschool, Terry knows firsthand what it's like to be a member of this community. “What keeps me here is the strong sense of family. Each child and family are valued in our learning experience. We all get to know each other and develop bonds that last forever. We are not just a school. We are a family!" A teacher since 1984, Terry specialized in Elementary, Kindergarten and Early Learning education. Outside of Playschool Terry spends her time with her children and grandchildren, quilting, and volunteering in the community.

Katie Rife - 2 Day Lead Teacher

Kate has a Masters in Education from Cabrini College and spent 7 years working as a middle school and high school math teacher before taking a break from teaching to stay home with her kids. Her son attended the Playschool in the 4’s class and Kate loved spending time aiding in the classroom! Outside of school she enjoys reading and walking and biking with her family.

Jodi Schweizer - 2 Day Assistant Teacher and Friday Fun Assistant Teacher

Jodi has been involved with Playschool since 1998 when her son attended the school. She has never left because she strongly believes in the Playschool philosophy which is driven by the commitment of the teachers and families. When Jodi is not at school she enjoys reading, walking, golfing, and spending time with her family.

Emily Baddely - 3 Day Lead Teacher

Emily’s son graduated from Playschool in 2018. She loved it so much she didn’t want to leave. With a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and over 15 years of experience with young children, she is very excited to be part of helping the children foster a love of learning and an excitement for school. Outside of Playschool, Emily enjoys going on adventures with her family, cooking delicious food, and (as a native of Upstate NY) cheering on the Syracuse Orange.

Teacher Beth also aides in our afternoon programs. Beth comes with a wealth of experience, both with preschoolers and children with disabilities.

Amanda Blazek - 4 Day Lead Teacher

Amanda has a Masters in elementary education from Rosemont College. She taught Pre-Kindergarten for many years before taking a break to be home with her two children. Now that her children are in school full time she thought it was the perfect time to go back to teaching. Her favorite thing about Playschool is that learning is always fun here! Outside of Playschool, Amanda enjoys reading, discovering new restaurants, and attending her kid’s sports events!

Louise Kane - 4 Day Assistant Teacher

Teacher Louise has been teaching at the school since 2004. All four of her children attended Playschool. Her favorite things about Playschool are, “To me Playschool is the next best thing to a family (in a good way!) I love to watch the children grow, in every sense of the way, four years is such a long time in their short lives. I also enjoy watching their parents grow along with them, we never stop learning!” Outside of Playschool, Teacher Louise likes to spend time with her family and garden, cook, and travel.

Aislinn Reno - 4 Day Teacher and Friday Fun Assistant Teacher

Aislinn is originally from Kansas and has a B.A. in Biology from Kansas State University. She worked in New York City in a pediatric ophthalmology office before having children and moving to West Chester. Both her children attended Playschool and Aislinn embraces the warm vibe here. She loves to spend time with her kids playing outside and riding bikes. She enjoys science and passing her love of it on to them. She grew up playing tennis and still enjoys playing and being a spectator.

Sue McKenna - Friday Fun Lead Teacher and Music Teacher

Sue has been working with preschoolers for over 20 years by providing musical enrichment programs to preschools. Parent-Teacher Conferences

Conferences may be scheduled with a teacher or the Director if necessary. When possible, evening or telephone conferences will be available for parents who cannot come in the daytime. Parents will receive a written report of their child's individual progress in January and at the end of the school year.
