We had a wonderful first week! Everyone is settling into their routines. Thank you for being so diligent about signing in and out each day. It is so important that we have an accurate accounting of who is here each day. Please be sure that anyone dropping off and picking up is familiar with this system. Staff is available for help.
Invoices:
Invoices are sent out on the 1st of the month. If you are paying by cash or check you do not have to pay the fee. Fees will be removed from the invoice. Checks or cash payments can be put in the tuition payment box on the kitchen counter. Payments are due by the 10th of each month. Late fees will be applied after the 10th.
Pictures: School pictures will be taken by our fantastic photographer, Meg Muller of Pie Photography. Come to school dressed in your picture attire. You may send in a change of clothing for after if you so desire. We will have a class photo and individual photos. Picture forms will be sent to you soon.
West Chester Playschool is collecting old/used sneakers for the month of September.
Our Offerings
Friday Fun: Friday Fun is a mixed-age group program available on Fridays from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Teacher Sue (who also teaches Makin Music at our school). Teacher Jodi (2 Day Class) and Teacher Aislinn provide your child with 3 fun-filled hours of creativity, music, and games. Since this is a mixed-age group we pull from the entire school curriculum in order to provide age-appropriate activities for all. 2’s and 4’s can add this to your week on a permanent or drop-in schedule. Families currently enrolled in a morning program receive a monthly discount for Friday Fun. You may enroll for the year or sign up each week as needed for $42/ day provided the class is not full. Sign up with Terry by the end of school on Thursdays.
Enrichment is open every day from 12 noon -3 p.m. It is a literature-based program and the cost is $30 per day. You can sign up each day or in advance on the signup sheet in the coatroom. Your child will eat their lunch from 12-1. At 1 p.m. teachers will begin with the book of the day and follow up with activities based on that day’s book adventure. Activities will be indoor and outdoor. Your child can come any day, even if they are not in the morning class that day. Afternoons are open to everyone, every day!
Who wouldn’t like an extra hour?? Lunchtime is available every day from 12 noon - 1pm. You may sign up in advance, reserve your permanent spot, or sign up that morning provided there is a spot open. Sign up sheet is on the fridge in the coatroom. The cost is $12. You may be so excited to have this extra hour so don’t forget to send in lunch with your child’s name CLEARLY MARKED.
Help Wanted
We are looking to fill our seat for Board Treasurer. This will be your co-op job for the year. The treasurer will attend monthly board meetings, help create our yearly budget, and determine costs for the following year. See Terry or Courtney Wiggins for more information.
Looking for someone with computer knowledge to take a look at our desktop Dell computer in the office, which is running VERY slowly.
